Justin Ruben, Executive Director of MoveOn.org Political Action, has requested the U.S. Department of Justice to “initiate an investigation into whether the Republican nominee for President, former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney, violated the False Statements Act… for stating unequivocally, on his personal financial disclosure form… that he was ‘not involved in the operations of any Bain Capital entity in any way’ after February 12, 1999.”
As explained in detail in a memo prepared by the MoveOn.org Political Action counsel, “there is substantial evidence that Governor Romney was in fact involved in the operations of Bain Capital entities after that date. Indeed, it is undisputed that Gov. Romney was the sole director, Chief Executive Officer and President of Bain Capital, Inc. at least through the middle of 2000. The notion that he occupied these positions with absolutely no involvement in the operations of Bain Capital Inc. is inconsistent with the requirements of applicable law and the reported facts concerning his relationship to Bain at that time.

Romney’s 47% of Americans are dependent on government remark, prompted Boehner to reiterate, “This election is about jobs, we’ve said it for 20 months and it hasn’t changed… The message is let’s stay focused on jobs because that’s what the American people want.” However, during the latter half of the week of September 10, Congress bickered “over whether or not to support veterans,” then the GOP “killed the Veterans Jobs Corps Act of 2012.”
Rank and file members of Congress earn an annual salary of $174,000 while the house and senate leaders earn $193,400. The Speaker of the house takes home $223,500. This comes to a grand total of nearly $104M. The 40 Republican Senators listed above who sent our servicemen into harm’s way and then “blocked jobs for veterans” should resign in shame and be required to repay $104M to the American people for doing nothing to provide jobs and self-respect to our veterans.
